President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed his excitement over the deployment of SpaceX’s broadband service, Starlink, in the country.
Buhari noted that the arrival of Starlink in Nigeria marks a milestone in the country’s quest for 100% broadband penetration.
In a post tweeted on Thursday night, President Buhari stated, “We are delighted that Starlink services have been deployed in Nigeria, making us the first African country — and the only one so far — to enjoy this rollout. With this deployment of Starlink, we now have 100 percent broadband penetration in Nigeria.”
On Monday, SpaceX announced the deployment of Starlink in Nigeria in a tweet on Monday, stating that Nigeria was the first African country to enjoy its services.
