Buhari meets with security chiefs in Abuja

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday held a meeting with security chiefs at the State House in Abuja.

Okay.ng gathered that the meeting lasted for over three hours were the president was brief on security situations in the country.

The security chiefs after the meeting gave an assurance that the armed forces will work harder to secure the country and Nigerians and that their strategy is working.

Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, Chief of Air Staff, speaking to newsmen said the meeting focused on ways to better secure the country, saying the current strategy adopted by the armed forces is working.

The Chief of Defence Staff, General Abayomi Olonisakin; and the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai, were among the attendance of the meeting.

Others are Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas; as well as the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu.
