President Muhammadu Buhari has named Suleiman Hassan as the new Minister of Environment on Thursday.

This followed the resignation of Ibrahim Jibrin from the post as he assumed his role as the Emir of Nasarawa.

Buhari’s media aide, Garba Shehu revealed this in Abuja on Thursday.

Shehu said Jubrin “resigned to ascend the throne of his forefathers as the Emir of Nasarawa, in Nasarawa State.”

Before his appointment, Hassan was the State Minister for Power, Works, and Housing.
