Buhari orders investigation into Anambra babies’ kidnap

President Muhammadu Buhari has expressed shock over the reported kidnapping of five newborn babies at Stanley Hospital in Nkpologwu, Anambra State.

Buhari’s reaction was contained in a statement signed by his senior spokesman, Garba Shehu, on Friday.

According to the statement, the president also ordered law enforcement agencies to investigate the case.

He also called for improved security measures at hospitals to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.

Okay.ng gathered that Gunmen had attacked a maternity hospital in Nkpologwu in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State on Tuesday, taking away newborn babies.

The motive for the attack has not yet been ascertained.
