According to President Muhammadu Buhari, oil subsidies would end in 2023.

This was said by the President during his statement on Friday during a joint session of the national assembly regarding the introduction of the 2023 budget plan.

The 2023 budget was N19.76 trillion and was titled “Budget of Fiscal Sustainability and Transition.”

Additionally, President Buhari informed the National Assembly that tertiary institutions cannot continue to be supported solely by the government.

Buhari stated that the government will take additional steps to adequately fund education in Nigeria, making reference to the practise in some other climates.

The Executive has been encouraged by Senate President Ahmad Lawan to make sure that many outstanding projects are finished using the 2023 budget for economic stability and transition.

This administration has consistently made sure that iconic infrastructure is delivered around the nation, according to Lawan.

“Generous allowances have been established for various projects in the last three budgets.”

While some have already been finished, work on others is moving quickly.

“Therefore, the 2023 Budget should concentrate on finishing a lot more around the country.
