Mrs. Caroline Wura-Ola Adepoju has officially been confirmed as the substantive Comptroller-General of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS).
The announcement was made during a routine parade on Wednesday, where Adepoju addressed the men and officers of the NIS.
Expressing her gratitude, Adepoju conveyed the news to the NIS personnel, stating, “You may also wish to know that through the grace of God and by the benevolence of the present government, I have been confirmed the substantive Comptroller-General of Immigration.”
As the most senior Deputy Comptroller-General (DCG), Adepoju had assumed the role of Acting CG following the expiration of her predecessor, Isah Jere’s tenure on May 29, 2023.
