Prince-1

After thrilling, inspiring, and influencing music throughout the duration of a legendary career, Prince passed away on Thursday (Apr. 21). The iconic singer’s memory, however, lives on as fans, celebrities, and fellow musicians, mourn his loss while remembering his lasting impact.

Some of the artists he influenced including The Weeknd, Questlove, Katy Perry, Monica, Missy Elliott, and Jill Scott shared their sadness online shortly after Prince’s death was confirmed by multiple sources. Some responded with disbelief upon hearing the news.

PRINCE??!!!!?!!?!!!!!!” asked JoJo in a tweet. “Prince….there’s no way,” added Zendaya. “Numb. Stunned. This can’t be real,” said Justin Timberlake.

Rita Ora recalled dancing and laughing with her “dear kind friend,” while Chance the Rapper shared advice for those who may not be familiar with Prince’s discography.

The tributes and condolences kept pouring in Thursday, including posts by Jennifer Lopez, Ariana Grande, Ne-Yo, and Dawn Richard. See the outpouring of love for the Purple One below.
