Legendary singer, Celine Dion has announced on Wednesday, that she is suffering from a condition that “makes it difficult for her to sing.”

The singer has been canceling several shows at her Las Vegas residency in order to prepare for surgery.

In a statement, the singer said that she has patulous eustachian tube, a condition in her middle ear that causes troubles with hearing.

It was also gathered that the singer had been treating the condition for more than a year, surgery became necessary because the treatment stopped working.

Dallas Ear Institute revealed that the eustachian tube connects the middle ear cavity to the throat.

According to the institute people living with the condition have an issue where their eustachian tube remains open and does not close when it should.

This leads to little hearing, hearing your own voice like an echo and feeling your breathing and an urge to open your ear through frequent yawning like it is blocked.

Celine wrote on Facebook, “My luck hasn’t been very good lately… I’ve been so looking forward to doing my shows again and this happens….

“I just can’t believe it!

“I apologize to everyone who planned to travel to Las Vegas to see my show. I know how disappointing this is, and I’m so sorry.”

The singer who lost her husband to cancer in 2017, will be cancelling her shows from March 27 to April 18 and may return to Las Vegas on May 22.
