Chelsea Star, Willian Loses Mother

Chelsea midfielder, Willian recently lost his mother, Dona Zeze who died following a two-and-a-half year battle with cancer.

She will be buried today, October 13 in the Ribeirao Pires district of Sao Paulo.

‘I am following this battle while away from you. It is not what I wanted and if I could I would be by your side twenty-four hours giving you all the love, affection and power to get you through this. But unfortunately my profession does not allow me to do so,’ the soccer star said as he bid farewell to his mother who died aged 57.

‘It’s been challenging, but with faith in God everything will be fine and you will be back as you were before. Because to see your smile makes me happy and comforts my heart. Get better soon mum,’ he added.

The midfielder who scored in Brazil’s 2-0 win in Venezuela on Tuesday October 11, dedicated the goal to his mother.

‘All of us at Chelsea Football Club are sending our love and deepest condolences to Willian and his family after the passing of his mother. We are thinking of you Willian,’ his club posted on their website.

As a reuslt, Willian will miss his side’s Premier League clash with Leicester City scheduled for this Saturday.
