Former Aviation Minister, Stella Oduah, along with her former aide, Gloria Odita, and seven other individuals, have been presented before Justice Inyang Ekwo at the Federal High Court in Abuja to face charges related to fraud. The charges include 25 counts of conspiracy, money laundering, and the maintenance of anonymous bank accounts with First Bank Plc, involving approximately N5 billion.

Upon entering their pleas, Justice Ekwo directed that the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) assume responsibility for the case, and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) should transfer the case file to the AGF within two weeks. While the court upheld the administrative bail conditions previously granted to the accused by the EFCC, it also instructed that the terms and conditions be provided to the AGF.

The trial has been adjourned to October 17, 2023, for further proceedings.
