The Federal High Court, sitting in Lagos on Friday, convicted controversial figure, Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, for abusing the Naira. The conviction came after the court reviewed the facts of the case.

During the proceedings, Bobrisky expressed ignorance of the law regarding the abuse of the Naira, stating that he is a social media influencer with over five million followers. However, the judge reminded him that ignorance of the law is not an excuse.

Bobrisky pleaded for a second chance to use his platform to educate his followers about spraying money, expressing regret for his actions.

He was arraigned on four counts of Naira abuse by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), to which he pleaded guilty.
