Justice Obiara Egwuatu of a Federal High Court in Kano has dismissed a suit filed by a Kano based lawyer Bulama Bukarti asking the court to compel the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to probe videos allegedly showing Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje receiving kickbacks from a contractor.

Okay.ng understands that the court in a sitting on Monday dismissed the case for lack of evidence.

Bulama in his suit prayed to the court seeking to ask to the EFCC to probe Ganduje over the leaked bribery videos.

But, the judge, Justice Egwuatu ruled that even though where the affidavit deposed to, is not countered, it is deemed admitted, the evidence therein must be cogent and verifiable.
