Court of Appeal Nullifies Election of Kaduna Assembly Speaker

The Court of Appeal in Abuja nullified the Kaduna State House of Assembly Speaker’s election, ordering a rerun in five polling units.

The tribunal had previously nullified the victory of Yusuf Liman, representing Makera State Constituency, due to a PDP petition.

The Appeal Court dismissed the speaker’s appeal and INEC’s, ordering reruns in fewer units than the tribunal.

Liman’s election was nullified due to a 382-vote margin, less than the collected Permanent Voter Cards in the affected units.
