The Court of Appeal, Abuja Division, issued a verdict on Friday, ousting Abubakar Suleiman, the Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, from his position as the representative of Ningi Central Constituency in Ningi Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
In its ruling, the appellate court mandated a rerun election to be conducted in 10 polling units within the constituency.
Abubakar Suleiman, apart from his role as the Speaker, previously served as the Chairman of the Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria.
