Monalisa Chinda, popular Nigerian actress, is in trouble as a Lagos High Court in Igbosere issued a bench warrant against her for failure to appear for trial over 6-year tax evasion.

Okay Nigeria gathered that the actress had failed to honour court summons over the alleged tax evasion charges filed against her.

However, the Lagos State Ministry of Justice made an application stemmed from a two-count charge accusing Coker of a 6-year failure to file annual tax returns and failure to pay income tax in respect of her company, Monalisa Code Productions.

Justice Adedayo Akintoye ordered her arrest on two count charges.

Prosecution counsel, Y. A. Pitan told Justice Akintoye that Coker had not appeared in court since 2017.

The actress has however not reacted to the court order as the time of writing this report.
