The Kano State High Court has granted an order restraining Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero from parading himself as the Emir of Kano.

Justice Amina Aliyu, who presided over the matter, barred four other deposed emirs from parading themselves as emirs of Bichi, Rano, Karaye, and Gaya.

The court further ordered the five deposed emirs to return all movable and immovable properties belonging to the Kano state government.

Okay.ng reports that the judge had earlier adjourned the matter to rule on various applications, including an extension of time, notice of preliminary objection, joinder application, and application for the judge to recuse herself.

This development comes as the latest in the ongoing legal battle surrounding the Kano emirate.
