COVID-19 cases in Nigeria crosses 30,000-mark with 460 new infections

Nigeria has recorded 460 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, July 8th, 2020.

Data from the NCDC showed that the cases were spread across 20 states, and the FCT with Lagos accounting for the highest number of infections for the day with 150 cases.

The states with the 460 new cases are Lagos-150, Rivers-49, Oyo-43, Delta-38, FCT-26, Anambra-20, Kano-20, Plateau-18, Edo-14, Bayelsa-13, Enugu-13, Osun-12, Kwara-10, Borno-8, Ogun-7, Kaduna-6, Imo-4, Bauchi-3, Gombe-3, Niger-2 and Adamawa-1.

NCDC also announced that as of 11:40 pm on 8th July, there are 30,249 total COVID-19 confirmed cases reported in Nigeria.

12,373 patients have been discharged with 684 deaths across the country.
