Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo is the clear leader in the race to win the Ballon d’Or, says Barcelona’s Neymar.

Ronaldo helped Portugal win the European Championship just weeks after leading Real Madrid to Champions League glory.

And though his teammate Messi beat Ronaldo to the award last year, Neymar says the Madrid man is the favourite for the next one.

“Winning titles plays a big role in the race for the Ballon d’Or,” Neymar told Lance. “Ronaldo won the Champions League and now Euro 2016 as well. So I reckon he is in a good position.

“Plus Ronaldo is a great player. I have no qualms in saying that.”
