Radio On-air personality, Daddy Freeze, has said the pressure to live flashy lifestyles is heavy on Nigerian celebrities.

The media personality said this on Monday in reaction to the recent arrest of Dammy Krane in the US.

Dammy Krane was on Friday arrested for alleged grand theft and credit card fraud, armed conspiracy, forgery, and intent to defraud.

The singer is alleged to have booked the services of a private jet charter company, TapJets, with stolen credit card details.

Reacting to the incident via Instagram, Daddy Freeze noted that one mistake does not define an individual, describing the singer as a “good and respectful person”.

He wrote: “This gentleman is a good person. One of the most respectful young people I know. One mistake doesn’t define him.

“The pressure on entertainers, especially the young ones is unimaginably enormous. Born into a nation where money is king doesn’t help either.

“Young people, please don’t bow to societal pressure to conform, be yourself, money is not the only currency you can spend. Understand the language of your talent and speak it well and your success will be televised.”
