The community leaders in the five local government of Daura disclosed to President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday that they enjoy 24-hour supply of electricity only when he is around.

Okay.ng understands that the leaders told the president when he received them at his residence in Daura, Katsina state.

It can be recalled that the president is in his home town to celebrate Eid El-Kabir.

One of the community leaders, Mohammed Saleh, said: “Anytime the president is around we enjoy 24 hours power supply. But if he is not around, the power supply is not always stable.”

Buhari responding to the leader said he is set to improve the lives of Nigerians, as he is convinced that he got elected by Nigerians who understood his mission.

He said: “Truly, the people know and understand my mission. This is what the votes showed. The administration will dwell on our campaign issues — security, economy and corruption. We will fight for the poor.”
