Nigerian music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has disclosed that his wife, Chioma Adeleke, was the driving force behind his decision to get married.
The singer made the revelation during a recent appearance on The Morning Hustle podcast.
Davido, who described his wedding day as the happiest of his life, explained that his long-standing relationship with Chioma, which spans over a decade, made it clear to him that she was the one.
“My wedding was the happiest day of my life. Chioma has been my girl for 12 years, so it was only right I married her. I was already famous before we met, but I wasn’t big then,” he said.
The Grammy-nominated artist emphasized that his decision to marry was solely influenced by his love for Chioma, adding, “If it wasn’t her [Chioma], I’m not getting married. There’s no point.”
