Afrobeats star Davido has revealed plans to release his highly anticipated fifth studio album early next year.

The Nigerian superstar shared the news during an interview on The Baller Alert Show, confirming the album’s release in early 2025.

While the artist did not disclose the album’s exact release date, featured artists, or title, he hinted at its unique African influence, describing it as “a real African records.”

In addition to the upcoming album, Davido announced an exciting collaboration with Chike and Odumodublvck, set to drop in a few days.

Titled Funds, the track features Odumodublvck, whom Davido referred to as the “biggest Nigerian rapper,” and Chike, whom he likened to American singer Bryson Tiller.

“We have another coming in a couple of days, it is called Funds. I featured the current biggest Nigerian rapper, Odumodublvck, and the Nigerian Bryson Tiller, girls love him—his name is Chike,” Davido said.

During the interview, the Feel crooner also spoke about his decision to remain in Nigeria despite opportunities to relocate abroad.

“I have to stay tapped in because why run away from home when others are running there now,” he explained.

Davido, born David Adeleke, rose to prominence in 2012 with his breakout single Dami Duro from his debut album Omo Baba Olowo.

Over the years, he has released a string of successful projects, including A Good Time (2019), A Better Time (2020), and his latest album, Timeless (2023).
