Deji Adeyanju, convener of Concerned Nigerians, has been granted bail after 63 days in Kano prison.

A Kano State Magistrate Court on Monday granted his bail in the sum of N500,000 and two sureties. The court also ordered him to submit his international passport.

Adeyanji was remanded in Kano prison on charges of culpable homicide by the Nigeria Police Force, despite his acquittal of the charges by a Kano High Court in 2009.

He had spent 63 days in prison before this bail.
