Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has expressed his heartfelt condolences over the passing of former Minister of Education, Kenneth Gbagi, who died on Saturday, May 4, at the age of 62.

In a statement, Governor Oborevwori described Gbagi’s death as a “tragic, unfortunate, and heart-wrenching” loss, and commiserated with his family, the people of Ughelli South Local Government Area, and the Social Democratic Party (SDP).

Gbagi, a renowned politician, businessman, and lawyer, was a governorship candidate in the 2023 general election and served as Minister of Education (State) during President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration.

Governor Oborevwori praised Gbagi’s achievements, saying, “He was a Criminologist, entrepreneur, and lawyer who chaired the Legal Aid Council of Nigeria. His contributions to the development of Delta State and Nigeria will be deeply missed.”
