N-Power is a youth empowerment initiative sponsored by the Federal Government of Nigeria.

The scheme provides a structure for large-scale and relevant work skills acquisition and development while linking its core and outcomes to fixing inadequate public services and stimulating the larger economy.

Nigerian citizens between the ages of 18 and 35 are accommodated into programmes under N-Power to ensure that each participant will learn and practice most of what is necessary to find or create work.

Here is the list of programmes, details and duration below:

  1. N-Agro
  2. N-Teach
  3. N-Health
  4. N-Build, Tech and Creative

N-Agro

Volunteers will provide advisory services to farmers across the country. They will also gather data of Nigeria’s agriculture assets. This programme is open to both Graduates and Non-Graduates.

Duration: 6 months

N-Teach

Volunteers will help improve basic education delivery in Nigeria. They will be deployed as teacher assistants in primary schools around Nigeria. This programme is open to Graduates only.

Duration: 12 months

N-Health

Volunteers will help improve and promote preventive healthcare in their communities to vulnerable members of the society. This programme is open to Graduates only.

N-Build, Tech and Creative

Volunteers will receive extensive training to help develop and expand their respective skills. This will help foster innovation and creativity. This programme is open to Graduates and Non-Graduates.

Duration: 6 months

At the moment, the N-Power scheme is receiving applications to accommodate 400,000 beneficiaries across the country.
