Bouncing on the success of getting signed to major abroad label, Sony Music/RCA, Wizkid released a new hit single “Come Closer” featuring Drake. But one line from the music caught my attention.

It goes thus; “Stepped into the game no one replace me”. Actually the question is did anyone replace the kid? Hmm Maybe no.

Wizkid got mainstream in 2010 after signing with Banky W’s Empire Mates Entertainment. Wizkid hopped into the music business with a much different style entirely he didn’t do his music like the already established 2face Idibia, D’banj, Sound Sultan who were the major stars then but we can apparently say he tapped a little of the Wande Coal style.

He [Wizkid] brought his music to be talking about love, ladies and reality as well. He was loved by the botties, the kpako’s and he always stick to his roots.

Up to this very moment no one is actually replacing him and going onto his 7 years in the industry. He looks like he his strengthening everyday. He keeps on giving us surprises with his bangers and more.
His recent single ‘Come Closer’ peaked at Canada ( Canadian Hot 100 ) – No. 54, Scotland – No. 96, Switzerland – No. 98, UK R&B – No. 14, UK Singles – No.58. Abegi who then is replacing less than a month the video already has over 4 Million views. Actually Wizkid is very much on top of his game and he is not slowing down. He is actually not replaced.
