DNA results have confirmed the identity of the South African lady murdered and burnt beyond recognition by her boyfriend.

It was gathered that the 22-year-old lady, identified as Karabo Mokoena, was killed on the 27th of April by her 27-year-old boyfriend, Sandile Mantsoe, after a heated argument.

According to Sunday Times, Mantsoe and Karabo had a heated argument in a nightclub at Sandton, Johannesburg which later transcended into blows.

They left the club together but Karabo was declared missing afterwards.

Two days later, a passer-by found the burnt body of the 22-year-old business student in a patch of veld in Bramley and his initial thought was that she was a burnt mannequin.

Karabo had acid poured over her body, and burnt beyond recognition.

Mantsoe, who confessed to killing Karabo according to her bereaved father, faces a double count charge of murder and defeating the ends of justice.
