The Nigerian government has announced its plan to reopen five airports for domestics operations on June 21, 2020.

The Director-General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Musa Nuhu, made this announcement in a circular issued dated June 1.

According to the circular, the gradual commencement of domestic flights will start on June 21 “with Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport Abuja, Murtala Muhammed International Airport Lagos, Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport Kano, Omagwa International Airport Port Harcourt, and Sam Mbakwe Airport Owerri.”

The circular also added that “other airports will be gradually added to the network after a review and assessment.”
