Former presidential spokesperson Doyin Okupe has been released from the custody of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on bail.

Doyin Okupe was arrested for alleged cyber-crime which he revealed in tweets when operatives of the anti-graft agency stormed his home.

He was released after spending 48-hours at the Anti-graft office in Lagos.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain confirmed his release on social media, saying he was treated with respect by the EFCC.

“The Efcc released me on bail tonite within 48hrs as stipulated by law,” Okupe said.

“I was treated wt utmost courtesy. I feel proud & grateful.”
