The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has said that Doyin Okupe, an ex-spokesperson of former President Goodluck Jonathan was released “on administrative bail.”

The commission’s acting spokesperson Tony Orilade said on Thursday.

Mr Orilade added that the charges against Mr Okupe were related to fraud as against cybercrime which Okupe was told when EFCC operatives visited his apartment on Saturday December 8.

“He will be given a week to be reporting to the EFCC,” Orilade said, adding that the context of the charges would not be discussed until they are filed in court and the matter assigned to a judge.
