The Department of State Services (DSS) has issued a public warning against Barry Donald, a dismissed officer allegedly posing as an operative of the agency to defraud unsuspecting Nigerians.

According to the DSS in a statement released on Wednesday, Donald has been engaging in “unscrupulous activities,” including impersonation and fraudulent schemes carried out under the guise of official DSS operations.

The security agency described his actions as criminal and advised members of the public to avoid any form of interaction or business dealings with him.

“Members of the public are therefore advised to desist from any dealings with him,” the DSS stated.

The service also urged citizens to verify any information or requests related to its operations through official channels, warning that the agency would not be responsible for any losses incurred through such fraudulent dealings.

“For requests, enquiries or complaints, the Service can be reached on 09088373515 or via email at [email protected],” the statement added.
