A Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Hadejia, Jigawa State, has issued a bench warrant for the immediate arrest of Mr. Ifeanyi Festus, an officer of the Department of State Services (DSS).
The order follows grave allegations involving the abduction, forced religious conversion, and sexual abuse of a minor girl, Walida Abdulhadi.
Okay News reports that the court order, dated January 7, 2026, was issued by His Worship Sadisu Musa Esq. in Suit No: DCC/01/2026. The legal action was initiated by the applicant, Abdulhadi Ibrahim, through his counsel, Kabiru Adamu Esq. and Babangida Garba Esq.
The allegations against the security operative further revealed that he abducted the victim from Jigawa State and subjected her to non-consensual religious conversion. Furthermore, the officer is accused of repeated sexual abuse resulting in a pregnancy, which allegedly necessitated a medical procedure at an Abuja hospital due to complications related to the minor’s age.
In the certified true copy of the court order obtained by Okay News, the Magistrate gave three specific directives:
Arrest: That the defendant, Ifeanyi Festus, be arrested by the Commissioner of Police, Jigawa State Command, or the Deputy Director General of the DSS.
Investigation: That the Commissioner of Police is ordered to “discreetly investigate this case.”
Release of Victim: That the Department of State Services “shall immediately release/reunite the Victim (WALIDA ABDULHADI) to her parent.”
The execution of the warrant and the subsequent reunification of the minor with her family are now awaited by the public and human rights observers.
