The Nigeria Women’s basketball team, D’Tigress, have qualified for the quarter-final stage of the ongoing FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup in Spain.

They sealed their place with a slim 57-56 win over Greece on Wednesday, at the Santa Cruz court in Tenerife.

It was their third consecutive victory, following succeeding wins against Turkey and Argentina.

The first quarter ended 15 points each.

The D’Tigress, however, opened a five-point lead within the second quarter, winning 16-11.

They further increased their lead with a 17-11 win in the third quarter.

However, it did not look too good for the D’Tigress within the final quarter, as they eventually lost 9-19.

The Nigeria Women’s basketball team are billed to face the United States of America in the quarter-final.
