The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arraigned Abdullahi Babalele, son-in-law of a former presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, over $140,000 allegedly laundered during the 2019 elections.

EFCC also arraigned Atiku’s long-time lawyer, Uyiekpen Osagie-Giwa, on Wednesday over $2 million cash also allegedly laundered during the elections.

The agency arraigned them before Justice Nicholas Oweibo of the Federal High Court in Lagos.

Both of them denied the charges on their arraignment.
