Ibrahim Magu, the acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) says the commission is carrying out internal cleansing of itself.

According to the anti-graft body’s boss, the commission is prosecuting many of its staff that are involved in bribery and other corrupt practices.

Magu, who stated this when he was addressing newsmen in Abuja on Wednesday, said the commission is facing its ”toughest time” in the fight against corruption.

He disclosed that the commission has recovered N409bn between January to date.
