The Lagos Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has officially confirmed the arrest of two suspected internet fraudsters at the residence of popular artiste John Nieng Nieng, widely known as Skales.

This confirmation follows earlier reports of EFCC operatives invading Skales’ house in the early hours of Tuesday.

The two suspects, identified as Udemba Chukwuemeka (also known as Jody) and Jamal Jamiu Onasola (also known as Jamal), were apprehended at House F10, Victoria Crest 4, Lekki, Lagos.

According to the EFCC’s statement posted on its verified social media handle, “The two suspects, suspected of being involved in dating scam, described Njeng as their “mentor”. While Chukwuemeka has been in Nieng’s residence for two years, Onasola has only stayed there for few months.

“They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.”

Skales had earlier raised an alarm regarding the incident, accusing the EFCC operatives of forcefully entering his house and confiscating his mobile phone, as well as those of his guests.
