EFCC Hands Over ₦3.9bn Recovered Funds to NNPCL in Abuja

Abuja, Nigeria – The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has handed over recovered funds totaling ₦3.9 billion to NNPC Limited as part of ongoing efforts to combat financial crimes.

Okay News reports that the presentation was made in Abuja by Mohammed Hammajoda on behalf of EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede, following investigations that uncovered fraudulent activities linked to some actors within the oil company.

Speaking at the ceremony, Hammajoda reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to tackling corruption, noting that the funds were recovered through diligent investigative work and professional efforts by EFCC operatives.

Receiving the funds on behalf of NNPCL, Mumuni Dagazau expressed appreciation to the Commission, describing the recovery as a reflection of institutional collaboration and a step toward strengthening transparency and accountability within the system.
