The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has raised an alert cautioning the public about a fraudulent employment scheme circulating through online advertisements.

The scheme falsely claims a connection with the EFCC and suggests that there is an ongoing recruitment process.

The EFCC, in a statement signed by Dele Oyewale, Head of Media and Publicity, categorically denied any ongoing recruitment activities and clarified that the advertisements are entirely fake.

The Commission urged the public to disregard any recruitment information that has not been officially announced through EFCC’s public channels.

“The public is enjoined to ignore any advertisement of recruitment not publicly announced by the EFCC,” stated Oyewale.

“Operatives are on the trail of fraudsters offering misleading information in this regard and they will be brought to book.”
