Peeved by the increasing number of cases of probe of officials of the immediate-past administration by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), some ministers under the administration have scheduled a meeting with their principal, Dr Goodluck Jonathan.

The meeting is scheduled for today (Sunday), it was gathered.

The meeting is believed to have been scheduled following Friday’s call by the Senate Majority Leader, Ali Ndume, that President Muhammadu Buhari should give the EFCC the go-ahead to probe the immediate-past leader of the nation.

In the same vein, the ex-ministers are also believed to be angered by the concentration of the probe, brought about by the anti-corruption war, on those who served in the last administration.

A top source in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was quoted as saying by The Punch: “Barring last minute changes, some former ministers would meet Jonathan tomorrow (Sunday) in Abuja. There is no way the issue of probes would not be discussed at such a meeting.”
