EFCC Rushes Former Adamawa Governor ‘Bala Ngilari’ to Hospital

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has rushed former Adamawa state Governor, James Bala Ngilari to the hospital.

Daily Trust reports that Ngilari was rushed to the Federal Teaching Hospital in Gombe for medical treatment after he complained of ill health while in EFCC custody.

The incident happened on Friday, June 17. Ngilari was detain at the Gombe zonal office of the commission on Thursday in connection with the on going investigation of N450 million campaign fund sent to Adamawa state from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) headquarters.

Shedding light on the former Governor’s condition, an EFCC source said Mr. Ngilari had been complaining of health challenges especially his high blood pressure and pile. He could barely sit for a long time without complaining of pain.
