The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has initiated a search operation at the Head Office of the Dangote Group of Companies situated in Lagos State.

Okay.ng gathered that the operation commenced at approximately 3 p.m. on Thursday.

According to information gathered by our correspondent, the EFCC’s search at the company’s Lagos head office remains ongoing, with the nature and scope of the investigation yet to be disclosed officially.

“The commission (EFCC) is investigating Dangote Plc and about 51 other significant companies. It has come to light that these allocations were executed without the approval of former President Muhammadu Buhari,” the undisclosed source claimed.

The specifics and details regarding the investigation, including the allocation procedures, the period under scrutiny, and the exact nature of the alleged unauthorized transactions, remain undisclosed as the EFCC’s operation continues at the Dangote Group’s headquarters.
