Ekiti State Government has vowed not to drop its perjury charges against the embattled Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the State, Dr Tope Aluko, despite reconciling with Governor Ayodele Fayose.

It also appealed to the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami (SAN), to always guide President Mohammadu Buhari against the increasing human rights abuses and gross violation of court’s orders in the polity.

Addressing journalists in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday, the state Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr Owoseeni Ajayi , the state government cannot abdicate its responsibility by collapsing the case of perjury instituted at an Ado Ekiti High Court against Aluko because of mere apology to the governor.
