The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kaduna State yesterday broke its silence after suffering defeat in the April general election with a call on the new governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai to deliver on his campaign promises to the people of the state.

The publicity secretary of the PDP in the state, Ibrahim Mansur who spoke to LEADERSHIP said, the governor who had made promises during the campaigns has no reason to fail the people who voted him in.

“Notwithstanding the victory, we believe the APC has no political machinery that can defeat the PDP in Kaduna State. However we acknowledge the fact that the Buhari factor played a key role in bringing El-Rufai and the APC to power,” he said.

The party said, “Based on the overwhelming votes the APC got in the state, the new governor has no reason to fail the people of Kaduna State, as such the PDP in Kaduna will observe and follow each and every step of the APC government to make sure that they fulfill their campaign promises to the people.

“The PDP in Kaduna State however congratulate the newly sworn in governor of Kaduna State on his successful inauguration as the executive governor of Kaduna State. The party wishes him success and Allah’s guidance in piloting the affairs of the state.”
