Governor Nasir El-Rufai has relaxed the 24-hour curfew in Kajuru local government area of Kaduna state.

Okay Nigeria understands in a statement that the governor reduced the curfew to 11 hours which is now from 7pm to 6am to take effect from Friday.

The statement read:

“The Kaduna State Government has relaxed the 24-hour curfew in Kajuru Local Government. The curfew hours are now 7pm to 6am with effect from today, Friday, 10th May 2019.

“The decision to relax the curfew follows a Kaduna State Security Council review of the security situation in the local government area.”

It can be recall that in March imposed a 24-hour curfew on Kajuru following increased killings by armed bandits in the state.
