Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has fired 16 Academic staff and 2 Non-academic staff of Kaduna State University for participating in the recent Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) strike action.

This was contained in a letter by the governor through the State Commissioner for Education, Shehu Usman Muhammad Makarfi, dated 20th May 2021.

The affected staff are:

  1. Peter Adamu
  2. Peter Waziri Maitala
  3. Usman Abbas
  4. Jihad Abdullahi Ismaila
  5. Hussaini Bala
  6. Abubakar Mustapha Jumare
  7. Abubakar Abdullahi
  8. Kamal Dan’azumi
  9. Alhassan Kabiru Usman
  10. Usman Sadiq Abubakar
  11. Daniel Gillian Lami
  12. Nina Lami Ochigbo
  13. Usman Balarabe Kubau
  14. Salame Danjuma
  15. Monday Emmanuel Dangana
  16. Ja’afar Muhammad Sani
  17. Silas Birat Garba
  18. Abdulrasheed Sani
