Kano state Governor, Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso has reveled that he was enlightened by the All Progressives Congress presidential primary as he got to know his growing political stature across the country.

He said: “I joined the race in order to win the election. however, I came second. I am happy because I am now known all over the country.”

Mr. Kwankwaso revealed this yesterday when he talked with journalists in his office saying that despite starting his campaign two months prior he achieved second position.

He praised the APC ability to hold a free and capable election.

He thanked all the delegtes that took part and voted for him for their maturity and decorum.

He pledged his allegiance to the campaign of winner, Muhammadu Buhari 100 per cent, until he wins the presidential election next year.

He said that the former leader has the capacity to address the insecurity problems bedeviling the nation, and described the APC presidential candidate as very honest, committed and determined to bring positive changes in the country.

He said: Buhari has promised in his acceptance speech, to address corruption, insecurity as well as to promote and promote patriotism among Nigerians as well as to stop divisiveness in religion, ethnicity and regionalism.

Kwankwaso then blamed the PDP under President Goodluck Jonathan for the insecurity facing the nation and said that he is sure the people will vote him out of power come 2015.

He however failed to confirm if he was going to contest for a senatorial position but said he was consulting with political associates and would make his position known soon.

Mohammed Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso is a Nigerian politician who was Governor of Kano State from 1999 to 2003. He was re-elected for a second term as Governor on 26 April 2011.
