Elon Musk Announces Linda Yaccarino as CEO of Twitter

By Yusuf Abubakar

In a surprising move, billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, founder of Tesla Inc., has announced the appointment of Linda Yaccarino as the new chief executive officer (CEO) of Twitter.

Musk took to Twitter on Friday to share the news, expressing his excitement about the decision.

“I am excited to welcome Linda Yaccarino as the new CEO of Twitter,” Musk tweeted.

He further explained that Yaccarino would primarily focus on business operations, while he himself would concentrate on product design and new technology.

Musk expressed his enthusiasm for working with Yaccarino to transform Twitter into an all-encompassing platform called X, the everything app.

Under this new structure, Musk will assume the roles of chief technology officer (CTO) and chairman, while Yaccarino will lead as the CEO.

This strategic shift aims to leverage Yaccarino’s expertise in business operations and allow Musk to concentrate on the technological aspects of the platform.

Yaccarino, a seasoned professional with an illustrious career, brings a wealth of experience to her new position.

At 60 years old, she currently serves as the chairperson of the advertising council’s board of directors, chairman of a World Economic Forum task force, and global chair of Ymu, a prominent British talent-management group.

Prior to joining Twitter, Yaccarino held the role of advertising chief at NBC Universal for over 12 years.
