The Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II, has sacked the eldest son of the former emir Ado Bayero, Lamido Bayero, as the Ciroman Kano.

Announcing the sacking of the late Bayero’s son from his position, the Galadima of Kano, Abbas Sanusi in a statement said “the late Bayero son, Alhaji Sanusi Ado Bayero did not respect the traditional institution of Kano”.

The statement announced the appointment of Alhaji Nasiru Ado Bayero as the new “Ciroma of Kano.”

The state police commissioner has deployed hundred of police officers around the palace of the Emir to forestall any trouble in the state.

Recall that the dethroned Ciroma of Kano contested for the position of emir along with current Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II but lost.
