President Bola Tinubu has appealed to Nigerians to be patient and look beyond the current economic challenges, assuring them that his administration is working towards a brighter future.

In a video address released by the State House on Wednesday, Tinubu acknowledged the difficulties caused by the removal of fuel subsidies and the floating of the naira, which have led to widespread protests. He attributed the hardships to an “avoidable lag” between the subsidy removal and the implementation of his administration’s plans to mitigate the effects.

Tinubu assured Nigerians that his government is committed to delivering on its promises, including making education more affordable and providing loans to students in need. He emphasized that his administration’s goal is to promote the greatest good for the greatest number of people.

The president expressed confidence that the measures his government has taken will help the country overcome the current economic crisis and emerge stronger.

This address marks the second time Tinubu has spoken to Nigerians since the start of the #EndBadGovernanceinNigeria protests, which have turned violent in some states.
