Enyeama Ruled Out for the Rest of the Season with Knee Injury

Former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama has been ruled for the rest of the season because of a knee injury.


 

The 34-year-old who has been Lille’s first choice goalkeeper for a number of seasons and will now miss the last few games of the season.

“Vincent Enyeama will be out for the rest of the season. #CourageVincent,” Lille tweeted on Thursday.

This news comes, as Eagles coach Gernot Rohr, has been seeking ways to bring Enyeama back to the national team, following the injury sustained by his successor, Carl Ikeme.

Rohr must now look at other options, ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations and World Cup qualifiers.

Enyeama played 34 times for Lille this season in all competitions. The Ligue 1 outfit are 12th on the table with 40 points from 34 matches.
